Tropical Heat Graduate Trainee – Commercial & Data Jobs in Kenya; Tropical Heat is seeking a motivated and intellectually curious graduate to join the Commercial & Data team. This program offers a unique opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real‑world business challenges while working alongside experienced data scientists and analysts. The successful candidate will contribute to the full lifecycle of data projects—from collection and cleaning to analysis and visualization—helping to drive data‑informed decisions across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, process, and transform large datasets to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Assist in developing and testing statistical models, predictive algorithms, and machine learning prototypes.

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.

  • Document data processes, models, and code for transparency and reproducibility.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to solve business problems using data.

    Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate (within 12 months) of a Master’s or Bachelor’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling principles.

  • Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and effectively.
