Technician - Asset Tracking Jobs in Kenya


  • Reporting to the Technical supervisor, Asset Tracking; the Technician will conduct Installations, servicing, repair and replacement of GPS tracking devices on Company / Clients Assets (motorbikes, cars) and Installation and repair of vehicle interlocking systems for G4S Fleet and customer vehicles.

    Responsibilities:

  • Installing, servicing, repair and replacement of GPS tracking devices on Company / Clients Assets

  • Identify new products and cost reduction ways on existing products

  • Deliver the highest-level professional service to the Company clients while keeping tracker’s installation and service information strictly confidential

  • Effectively diagnose/repair issues with Tracking Units

  • Ensure full accountability of materials, equipment and resources allocated to the performance of duties

  • Improvement in the operations, eliminate waste and use corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities

  • Reduce/ Eliminate incidents and customer claims related to poor asset tracking installations

  • Process billable service calls, installation invoices and Maintain proper information logs and submitting to the assigned supervisor

  • Ability to Instruct -Offer Excellent Practical model of Training

  • Address internal and external customers’ requests and complaints promptly

  • Properly investigate and report on any work related incidents and provide recommend preventive measures

  • Ensure strict compliance with the G4S golden rules, minimum standards and all related policies

  • Support and implement health and safety initiatives at the lowest level

    Ideal candidate:

    Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Diploma in
    Automotive electrical /mechanical/electronics from a recognized institution.

    Experience

  • Minimum 3 years professional Experience in Electrical Automotive or Motor vehicle engineering.

  • 3+ years of GPS and fleet management installation experience.

  • Previous experience installing/handling GPS tracking devices in a similar role.

    Technical Skills

  • Knowledge in Integrated security systems.

  • Conflict Management.

  • Microsoft Word – Intermediate level.

  • Microsoft Excel – Intermediate level (Advance level are advantageous).

  • Microsoft PowerPoint – Basic level.

  • Google suite of products.
