Sun King Area Business Manager - Ogun Jobs in Nigeria; The Area Business Manager will coordinate sales, collections, and distribution operations for Sun King Solar products sold on Pay‑As‑You‑Basis (“EasyBuy” Business Unit) through a network of Energy Officers. The role is accountable for generating sales, ensuring timely collections, and driving sustainable growth of direct distribution in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

Hire & Retain Energy Officers

  • Recruit, train, and maintain a team of at least 40 Energy Officers.

  • Use local influencers (village heads, teachers, religious leaders, farmers, etc.) to identify talent.

  • Build goodwill and reputation for Sun King’s mission of clean, affordable energy.

    Training & Supervision

  • Provide training on sales, collections, product, technical, inventory, and logistics.

  • Supervise Energy Officers with integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

  • Ensure role clarity on tasks, routes, and targets.

    Field Engagement

  • Conduct weekly touchpoints with Energy Officers via meetings, calls, or joint sales.

  • Resolve issues and report to Regional Business Manager weekly.

  • Support first 5 sales of each Energy Officer to ensure process understanding.

    Sales & Collections

  • Conduct joint fieldwork and activations to drive engagement.

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and collection targets.

  • Review collection progress daily and train Energy Officers on follow‑ups.

  • Profile customers/areas and repossess systems as last recourse for defaults.

    Market & Customer Focus

  • Monitor competitors and protect Sun King’s market presence.

  • Deliver world‑class customer service, including product delivery, installation, and warranty support.

  • Resolve customer issues within 24 hours.

    Operations & Marketing

  • Provide marketing materials and equipment to Energy Officers.

  • Ensure ROI on marketing, supply chain, store
    maintenance, and smartphone issuance.

  • Conduct weekly meetings with Energy Officers and RBM to resolve issues.

  • Recognize outstanding performers to maintain motivation.

    Retail Growth

  • Expand retail network with support from Cluster Leaders.

    Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on sales experience.

  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Extensive customer care experience.

  • Innovative, with strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.

  • Ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally.

  • Strong coaching, listening, and operational excellence skills.

  • Knowledge of the territory.
