Summit Recruitment and Search Sales Manager - Steel Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities and expand the sale of steel products across Kenya and neighbouring African countries.

Build and maintain strong relationships with steel manufacturers, fabricators, distributors, and industrial customers.

Manage the full sales process, including quotations, order confirmation, shipment coordination, payment collection, and after‑sales support.

Conduct market research to identify potential customers, emerging opportunities, and new markets.

Coordinate with overseas suppliers and internal teams on pricing, customer requirements, and shipment schedules.

Monitor steel prices, competitor activity, and market trends to support informed sales decisions.

Support import and export processes, logistics coordination, and commercial documentation for international steel trading.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and supply agreements with customers.

Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth.

Prepare regular sales reports, market updates, and customer activity reports for management.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Five to seven (5–7) years of B2B sales or business development experience.

Experience in steel trading, steel manufacturing, building materials, industrial

products, commodity trading, or import/export preferred.

Good knowledge of steel products and their applications is an added advantage.

Strong customer‑development, negotiation, and account‑management skills.

Good understanding of international trade, logistics, and commercial documentation.

Experience managing the complete sales cycle, including payment follow‑up and collections.

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Willingness to travel regularly within Kenya and neighbouring countries.
