STRATOSTAFF Collections Officer, Vehicle Asset Finance Jobs in Kenya
Job Purpose
Perform collections functions to minimize forward roll rate of potential non‑performing loans and increase recoveries.
Emphasize customer retention, education, and rehabilitation through effective collections skills.
Handle customer enquiries across phone, email, WhatsApp, SMS, and chat within agreed service times.
Initiate customer collections engagements through available channels.
Submit comprehensive reports and documentation to Manager for portfolio management.
Perform movable asset tracing with tracking companies and repossession agents.
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient, professional, and quality service to customers.
Maintain conversational flow during calls.
Educate customers about self‑service options.
Own calls to provide solutions and reduce unnecessary transfers.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and business requirements.
Conduct telephonic collections on arrears accounts to secure realistic ‘Promise To Pay’ arrangements.
Refer customer requests to relevant admin departments.
Maintain high call activity levels.
Confirm and update customer records.
Refer accounts to trace when no contact can be made.
Comply with product‑specific policies and procedures.
Adhere to shift scheduling and handling time benchmarks.
Achieve daily and weekly targets through effective productivity.
Follow risk and compliance procedures and disclose requirements to customers.
Promote professionalism and reinforce the bank’s image and brand.
Ensure prescribed call handling techniques leave customers with a positive experience.
Requirements
Business Commerce, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field.
1–3 years collections experience.
Knowledge of bank products per Business Unit.
Sound knowledge of applicable legislation and credit policies.
Computer literacy and data/analytics skills.
Ability to identify and manage risk using policies and procedures.
