Job Details

  • To drive delivery of OE services (including organisational design, job architecture, strategic workforce planning and change management) that enable the group to design and implement a fit for purpose organisation architecture that enables implementation of strategy, building a sustainable business.

  • To partner with relevant stakeholders to understand shifts in centre of expertise practices and support the crafting and implementation of end-to-end solutions, prioritising and ensuring alignment of centre of expertise initiatives, to address the evolving needs of the Standard Bank group.

    Job Purpose

  • To partner with relevant stakeholders to understand shifts in centre of expertise practices and support the crafting and implementation of end-to-end solutions, prioritising and ensuring alignment of centre of expertise initiatives, to address the evolving needs of the Standard Bank group.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    Strategy

  • Utilise CoE Domain expertise to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, analysing and understanding the business need and translating this into an execution plan to address business needs as well as future CoE strategy needs.

    Adaptive Planning

  • Propose how work can be augmented to take advantage of uniquely human abilities, how the alternative workforce can provide talent needed in the areas where adaptability is key, and how changes to the workplace can foster connectedness, collaboration, and an integrated people experience.

    Thought leader-ship

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to Corporate Functions business and P&C leaders and teams on the development and deployment of OE solutions and initiatives to ensure informed decision making and optimal impact.

    Organisational architecture and design

  • Implement and adapt OE solutions, including enterprise wide organisational diagnostic and design, structuring, job analysis, design and evaluation. Promote and drive integration of the organisational architecture frameworks with other P&C functions to enable a better people experience.

    Strategic Workforce Planning

  • Contribute to SWP plans and insights in the design of P&C strategies that reinforce
    overarching business strategies and goals, improve resource utilisation, maximise operating performance, and enhance confidence in workforce decision-making.​

    Change

  • Partner business and P&C to support change initiatives, ensuring the consistent application of design and systems thinking, change evaluation and readiness assessments and facilitation techniques to enable and foster a business environment that supports business imperatives.

    Tool Box

  • Partner Group OE communities to design and develop an OE Tool Box to OE practices across Organisation design, Job design, analysis and evaluation, Workforce planning and Change management are 'fit for purpose’, standardised yet flexible enough to contribute to and enable the sustainable growth of diverse businesses and targeted employee segments

    Digital, Insights and Operations

  • Support the deployment and adoption of leading technologies to automate the work done within the OE CoE, increasing the speed and efficiency of operations and contributing to a future-ready adaptable organisation and workforce

    Impact and Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the sustainability of OE solutioning for maximum impact across the group. ​

    Minimum Qualification and Experience

    Experience:

  • Understanding and knowledge of Organisation Effectiveness, including organisational design, job analysis, design and evaluation, workforce planning and change management. ​

  • Experience in influencing business teams in an environment where the OE solution may not be apparent.

  • Experience in working in multi-functional teams where disciplines varied but outcomes and metrics were shared​.

  • Knowledge and application of OE measures and reporting.

  • Knowledge of how digital and data can be applied to improve the OE process and/or experience.
