Curriculum education, wishes to fill the following position in the School from May, 2020.
Network Administrator & Audio/Visual Technician
The School comprises two semi-autonomous Schools:
the Preparatory school for pupils between of ages of 3 – 13 and the Senior School for pupils between the ages of 13-18.
The Network Administrator & Audio/Visual Technician is a whole school appointment and is responsible to the I.T. Director.
S/he will work closely with the I.T. Director to ensure timely maintenance and
administration of computer hardware, software and audio/visual equipment and all configurations across the whole School.
To help the Drama Department design stage lighting, scenery and sound for KS3 work, GCSE and A level performance work.
Install and maintain all technical and audio visual equipment in the Creative Arts Faculty rooms/suites including the Sayer Hall and BP Hall.
To support all the music department concerts technically including assisting the Turi Production Society and the school show with regard to rehearsals, technical assistance and general management including backstage management.
Maintain and administer computing environments including computer hardware & Software and all configurations and specifically the Active Directory, Group policy & DNS management, and Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 management.
Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems
Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance/mitigation, and log in the findings as required by IT policies and procedures
Implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software or other network and system problems and replace defective components when necessary.
Ensure that audio/visual equipment are set for trainings, meetings, and School functions.
Personal & professional attributes
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
At least two years relevant professional experience in a similar position
Familiar with the operating and setup of Audio Visual Equipment
Ability to analyse problems quickly and skilfully in a professional and disciplined manner
A strong client focus and desire to assist others
Flexibility in working shift work, weekends and late nights.
