Solidarités International Logistics and Administration Manager Jobs in Ethiopia;Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator and in close collaboration with the Coordination support departments, the Logistics and Administration Manager ensures the efficient management of logistics, procurement, fleet, assets, facilities, administration, finance, and HR functions at the Adwa base. The position guarantees compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements while providing timely and quality support to program implementation. The Log/Admin Manager contributes to operational continuity through effective planning, sound resource management, risk mitigation, and the supervision and development of the support team in a complex operational environment.
Issues and Specific Challenges
Manage logistics and administrative operations in a context affected by fuel shortages, cash constraints, and market volatility.
Ensure compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements while supporting base expansion.
Supervise procurement, contract management, fleet, stock, and facility management.
Support operationalization and consolidation of the Adwa base systems.
Manage security‑related support aspects including contingency preparedness and vehicle management.
Ensure proper HR administration, recruitment follow‑up, payroll, and staff support.
Build and maintain capacities of support staff while promoting compliance and teamwork.
Priorities in the First 2–3 Months
Ensure smooth handover and understand ongoing logistics, administrative, HR, and financial processes.
Consolidate Adwa base support systems (procurement, stock, fleet, asset tracking, contracts).
Strengthen monitoring and mitigation measures for fuel shortages, cash availability, and supply chain constraints.
Review and update support tools, trackers, filing systems, and reporting mechanisms.
Support implementation of
ongoing GFFO activities and upcoming projects.
Contribute to budget follow‑up, forecast monitoring, and cost‑control measures.
Profile
Diplomas and Experience
Master’s degree (or equivalent field experience) in Humanitarian Action, International Development, Social Sciences, Project Management, or related field.
3–4 years of experience in humanitarian sector.
0–2 years of experience in similar position.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of logistics (SI procedures), procurement, fleet, facilities, and administrative management in humanitarian contexts.
Transversal Skills
Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.
Cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and strong commitment to humanitarian principles and safeguarding policies (PSEA, Child Protection).
Languages
Fluency in written and spoken English essential.
Knowledge of local languages (Amharic, Tigrigna) an asset.
