Serenity Centre Accounts/Administrative Assistant Jobs in Kenya Serenity Centre is a pioneer NGO registered under the NGO Statue 1989 with a mission to provide holistic services to the individuals, families and communities affected by substance use and other related illnesses
From a humble beginning since August 2001, Serenity Centre has continued to offer a number of rehabilitation programs to individuals who struggle with alcohlism drug addiction (Heroin, Cocaine, and Marijuana) prescribed medication and many related substances.
In order to offer its services efficiently and effectively, the Centre seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person on full time basis for the vacant positions below
Accounts Administrative Assistant
Deputise the accountant when absent
Prepare payment vouchers and cheques as instructed by the supervisor
Receive and acknowledge organisational funds
Manage daily petty cash transactions and ensure completion of daily reconciliation
Ensure complete, accurate and timely filing of accounting documents
Make data entries into the journals
Perform front office duties
Receive and attend to inquiries from visitors, clients, sponsors and staff referring them to the relevant office.
Handle the client admission process as per the initial assessment
Update sponsors on different issues regarding clients as instructed by the responsible officer.
Arrange for senior and general staff meetings as well as BOD meetings as required
File the ED's official documents and correspondence in an orderly manner and ensue safe custody of confidential documents as required
prepare responses to routine correspondences and report on behalf of the ED
Recieve, screen and schedule the ED visitors
Maintain and update the ED's official diary including giving timely reminders/updated to the respective parties;
Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor
A minimum of a diploma in Business Administration, Social works or any other related field from a recognized institution of higher learning
Knowledge of accounting priciples is essential.
Must have excellent computer skills word, Excel, Acosta, Power point and internet) with good interpersonal skills and excellent work ethic.
Applicants Must be 25 years and above with at least one (1) years' experience of performing similar or related duties.
