  • Our client is looking to recruit for the position of Senior Manager Business Development and Strategic Partnerships.

    Overall Job Purpose:

  • The Senior Manager, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships will be a key member of the Leadership Team, responsible for leading the business development and strategic partnership efforts.

  • This person will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and growing company relationships with strategic institutions including banks, fintechs, Institutional companies, Card Scheme Associations and Regulators.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    Achievement of the annual financial targets.

  • Build and develop relationships with senior executives at banks, fintechs and Institutional companies

  • Execute complex, long-term partnerships with strategic partners that unlock benefits for the company and its customers

  • Development of new business models to deliver and capture value from retail banking customers resulting in growth of NFI.

  • Optimize business processes to bring about operational efficiencies and cost savings.

  • Building alliances and partnerships to generate revenue streams

  • Maintain an understanding of external competitive developments and their impact on our business and innovation strategy.

  • Clear cascade of strategy and objective to the team to deliver on the financial targets.

    Internal business processes

  • Generate an ideas funnel towards achieving results in line with the overall business strategy.

  • Working with key internal support and control stakeholders to ideate, build and manage smooth processes related to the businesses.

  • Evaluate white space business, product, and partnership opportunities in adjacent markets

  • Control and periodically check operational risks and workflow in conjunction with Operations.

  • Drive the system towards service quality standards in an efficient operation where risks are well controlled (through product process re-engineering).

  • Manage fraud risk associated with digital lending.

  • Build thought leadership on the future state of the industry (e.g., the future of payments) and potential impact to the overall strategy

    Customer

  • Manage and further develop existing strategic partnership relationships

  • Design and deliver customer journeys that enhance channel utilization.

  • Enhance our customer offering by delivery of the company products.

  • Design processes that will safeguard both the
    customer and the company from financial losses.

  • Constantly engage with the call center teams to review top caller reasons and customer feedback in order to take actions that ensure customer needs are met.

    Learning and growth

  • Provide leadership for the business team through clearly communicating strategy and goals and coaching sessions.

  • Improve the team’s competencies necessary to deliver on the Business Growth strategy.

  • Ensure that there are proper succession plans for key roles within BD and career development for direct reports.

  • Ensure compliance with the leave policy on block leave and minimum carry over for both self and direct reports.

    Qualifications: Education / Knowledge

  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance or equivalent
    Minimum five (3+) years’ experience as a Business Development manager

  • At least 3-5 years’ Exposure in Customer Experience Management and Corporate Relationship Management

  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) practices

  • Must have minimum five (5+) in Senior Management

    Competency, Technical Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge on Banking, Card schemes and Mobile Network Operators

  • Excellent sense of credit / risk and good financial analytical skills

  • Good sense of business development and analytics.

  • Good sense of cross-selling and strong product knowledge.

  • Good comprehension, presentation & interpersonal skills.

  • PC knowledge: good presentation & structuring skills in written presentation.

  • Able to work under pressure independently.

  • Able to adapt to fast-changing environment.

  • Efficient execution of assignments within short time frame.
