SBM Bank Direct Sales Representative Jobs in Kenya;The Sales Representative will be responsible for introducing and selling consumer banking products to potential customers.
The role focuses on business growth, identifying opportunities to increase sales, executing sales and marketing plans, and delivering exemplary customer service to build long‑term profitable relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Development – 60%

Identify retail opportunities and prospects through systematic prospecting, visiting, and onboarding new customers in scheme companies.

Deliver exceptional sales performance by selling and cross‑selling consumer banking products and services.

Provide direct sales support through lead generation and effective follow‑up.

Participate in product campaigns to generate awareness.

Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales campaign targets.

Ensure compliance in processing customer documentation for account opening.

Follow up with customers to ensure seamless account opening and delivery of account information.

Relationship Management – 30%

Maintain strong relationships with scheme company contacts through regular visits and courtesy calls.

Keep updated records of scheme portfolios to mitigate losses.

Liaise with business development teams to identify opportunities and deepen customer relationships.

Plan and attend

service open days and activations to handle queries.

Customer Service – 10%

Minimize customer attrition by offering solutions and responding to queries proactively.

Achieve minimum client visits and engagement forums annually.

Resolve customer complaints within turnaround time (TAT) and escalate appropriately when needed.

Qualifications & Competencies

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Strong understanding and interpretation of financial information.

Working knowledge of bank products and services.

Good understanding of banking industry trends, regulations, and processes.

Sales experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
