Restless development CSU volunteers Jobs in Uganda

  • We know young people have the power to solve the challenges we face in our world, but they are being sidelined.

  • We are the agency that works with young people so they can lead in solving those challenges.

  • Whether that means supporting communities to end child marriage or prevent HIV, we work with young people to change their lives and the lives of people in their communities.

  • Our programmes are genuinely life-changing, but can’t do any of this without talented, creative individuals at every level of our organisation.

    About the Development Alternative

  • Restless Development is a member of The Development Alternative- a consortium of seven development partners working together to build youth leadership approaches and initiatives that ensure young people can truly define the problems that their communities face and, crucially, lead the solutions to them.

  • The Development Alternative has proposed a series of new models for youth-led development that will be tested across eight countries by seven consortium partners until 2022 – engaging more than 250,000 young people in the process.

  • Our approach has young people driving and leading change in their community, rather than being seen as the beneficiaries of programmes.

    About the Role

  • Restless Development is looking for 24 young individuals aged between
18-25 that are passionate about creating change, to join The Development Alernative as volunteers based in Kampala and Karamoja.

  • As a volunteer, you will spend six months tracking the impact of development initiatives in your community.

  • You will measure the impact of these programmes and report back your findings to the major development actors leading them.

  • You will work together with the team to find solutions to problems you’ve discovered, and get your community and other young people involved.
