Job SummaryThe Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an experienced Senior Architect specialized in infrastructure migration and modernization (IMM) to join our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) consulting practice.
In this role, you will passionately facilitate and maintain the adoption of Red Hat's IMM solutions.
You’ll play a crucial role in bringing together cross-functional teams, including product business, product engineering, support, consulting, and sales teams, and helping them meet the needs of our customers.
You’ll serve as a customer advocate, delivering the right solutions and ensuring that these solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way.
You’ll need to have solid industry experience and domain expertise to play a leading role in the delivery of business critical solutions.
In addition, you’ll need to have a solid working knowledge of agile project methodologies and DevOps models and technologies.
This role will give you an opportunity to learn about Red Hat Cloud platform portfolio and promote IT transformation for leading corporations and institutions.
This role can be based in any of our EMEA locations with access to a major airport to enable travel (80%) across EMEA.
Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end customer migration and modernization processes by becoming a customer-trusted advisory and by gathering requirements for both the current and future states of our customers
Build a journey map and a supporting high-level design (HLD) to achieve and deliver customer future state; refine and decompose HLD to low-level design (LLD) and solution mapping
Offer architectural design domain expertise on automated cloud platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns, including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience
Implement and support infrastructure migration solution in the EMEA team and contribute to the global program using both the WW engineering and partnership strategies
Assist in presales discovery and solutions development and serve as the point of contact between presales and consulting or delivery
Be available for frequent travel across EMEA (80%) to work alongside leading financial services, retail, telecommunication, and institutional customers
Lead the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and
lower delivery risks
Demonstrate thought leadership in the cloud community by speaking at industry-leading conferences and by producing world-class whitepapers, webinars, etc.
Build Red Hat’s capability by supporting the growth of associates and teams through mentoring
Required Skills
8+ years of proven platform architecture experience with 4+ of those years specifically focused on enterprise virtualization or cloud computing
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Broad enterprise workload experience with infrastructure architecture; experience with infrastructure build and run capabilities is a plus
Ability to rapidly adapt to a fast-evolving cloud marketplace; including learning new technologies and learning about topics like cloud orchestration, automation, cloud storage, and software-defined networks (SDN)
Proven record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT and business executives
Experience successfully delivering projects using an agile project management approach
Experience with enterprise architecture and cross-domain skills demonstrated in workload modernization, including application payloads
Experience in technical domain, including experience with hybrid and legacy cloud computing, storage and network technologies, and practical experience with modernization
Broad and deep technical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies
Experience with Linux operating systems, Linux virtualization software, and Red Hat Ansible Automation
Experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat CloudForms, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Insights, VMware vSphere or vRealize, Kubernetes, Docker, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Puppet, Ruby, Python, etc. is a plus
Understanding workflow automation and infrastructure management development
Ability to advise on workflow orchestration designs
