  • CHAK is a national Faith Based health service delivery and program organization of the Protestant Churches in Kenya established in 1946 with presence in 45 counties in Kenya.

  • CHAK has emerged as a market leader and driver in HIV prevention, care and treatment programs in Kenya, working collaboratively with the national and the county governments to improve access to quality prevention and service delivery and to catalyze strengthening of county health systems and community health networks, fostering greater sustainability and self-reliance.

  • CHAK will be implementing a AFYA JUMUISHA USAID funded 5-year HIV Prevention, care and treatment project in Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu and Nyandarua, starting around April / May of

  • CHAK is therefore seeking to recruit competent, experienced and highly skilled candidates expected to drive the project to achieve its objectives and to act as change agents supporting a
    culture of performance and accountability within the project counties.

    Project Officer (Electronic Records Management)

  • The ERM Officer will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of county and sub county health facility and communities to manage and maintain service delivery databases and data management-related functions.

  • He/she will provide technical support in database management to the project, county and partner and staff and ensure efficient electronic data management systems to support the needs of the project.

    Reporting to the M&E Manager, the key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support the county and sub county electronic data platforms and to support and improve point of care service delivery data management.

  • Organize data systems and flow to ensure that data is properly channeled from partners, health facilities and entered into DHIS2 and other national platforms as well as to support efficient utilization of data at all levels for continued improvement of service delivery and strengthening of county service delivery systems and infrastructure.

  • Support capacity development of the community, county, sub county and other partners for data management and utilization.

  • Provide technical support to health management information systems (HMIS).

  • Ensure optimal use of
    electronic data tools and system for purposes of collecting, analysis and synthesis of monitoring and utilization of service delivery data.

  • Offer technical assistance to CSO partners in designing and implementing appropriate data collection tools.

  • Develop statistical reports and participate in data quality audits.

  • Support the project consortium partners to compile timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually reports

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biostatistics, computer science, public health, informatics or related fields of study.

  • Master’s Degree in same disciplines is a clear added advantage.

  • Relevant experience of 3 to 5 years in ERM and analysis with high level working knowledge of USAID/PEPFAR data requirements and programs.

  • High level computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, including advanced skills in at least two of the following programs: SPSS, Excel, Epi Info, Stata, and MS Access.

  • Experience in HMIS, setting up databases, data analysis and presenting statistical report and excellent understanding of how to maintain data security and data quality systems.

  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.

  • Good planning and organizational skills.

  • High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English communication
