Privatisation Authority Assistant Director, Internal Audit Jobs in Kenya



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal audit activities to ensure effective coverage and alignment with audit plan.

  • Manage adherence to processes, systems, and procedures across the Authority.

  • Develop and improve audit techniques and procedures.

  • Coordinate audit inspections and follow‑up reviews.

  • Supervise validation of annual audit reports for accuracy and compliance.

  • Guide implementation of Quality Management System procedures.

  • Formulate and review internal audit policies, strategies, and frameworks.

  • Ensure compliance with audit statutes, laws, and regulations.

  • Oversee effectiveness of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and control systems.

  • Coordinate special audits and investigations.

  • Analyze departmental performance and recommend improvements.

  • Manage stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Oversee departmental performance management system and delivery of performance contracts.

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor staff to foster a high‑performing workforce.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual departmental reports.

  • Provide technical input in strategic plan development and review.

  • Strengthen collaborations with government, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Implement risk management policies and frameworks.

  • Foster corporate culture of ethics and good governance.

  • Undertake performance appraisals and promote mentorship strategies.
