Panagora Group is establishing a new office in Pretoria, South Africa and is looking for creative, results-focused self-starters who can deliver under pressure and work collaboratively as a team.Develops, manages and implements all field office financial policies in compliance with all applicable Panagora polices, client policies, and local laws
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Leads finance and accounting ensuring excellent performance in compliance with all applicable regulations, including:
Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, and defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
Maintain general ledger
Balance general ledger by reconciling entries
Maintain records and file documents
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Comply with United States government and local legal requirements by studying requirements, filing reports, and advising management
Ensures accurate time accounting of staff, processes payroll, and administers local benefits plans, including tracking staff vacation and sick leave balances
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business and/or C.A./CPA or equivalent
Minimum five years of progressive experience in financial management and/or accounting
Knowledge of U.S. Government financial and procurement rules and regulations a plus
Competent with Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with technical staff and home office to forecast expenditures
Ability to produce high quality outputs, including monthly financials, financial reports, and analysis for various audiences, including those with limited finance experience
Attention to detail with accuracy and reliability as key drivers of success
Strong analytical thinking with sound business acumen
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
