Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field.

  • Proven experience in maintenance of industrial plant machinery (food processing environment is an added advantage).

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.

  • Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance records.

  • Good understanding of safety standards in industrial environments.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of production plant machinery and equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement corrective actions.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

  • Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.

  • Monitor machine performance and recommend efficiency improvements.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair reports.

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

  • Work closely with production staff to resolve equipment issues.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and recommend replacements.

  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to restore operations.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
