Requirements for appointment

For appointment to his grade an officer must have:

  • Served in the grade of Principal Administrative Officer or in a comparable and
    relevant position in the wider Public Service for a minimum period of ta (2) years;

  • A Bachelors Degree in any Social Sciences or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

  • A Masters Degree in any Social Sciences from a recognized institution;

  • Post graduate diploma in any Social Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

  • NOTE: Possession of a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
    from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • An officer at this level the officer will be responsible to the Assistant Director
    Administration for assigned administration function.

    Specifically, duties and responsibilities will entail: -

  • Provide logistical support in ODDP events and functions, to enhance the ODPP image and gain stakeholder confidence.

  • Ensure efficiency of the security framework that protects the ODPP staff and assets from security threats, to minimize disruptions to the ODPP operations that result from security incidents, and to enhance the trust of staff in the ability of ODPP to manage staff matters

  • Execute policies and procedures in the administration division that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of service in a timely and cost-effective manner

  • Draft concept papers on administrative policy issues.

  • Execute the administrative division strategic plan, and the preparation and of the work plans, to ensure the operations of administrative division are directed towards the achievement of the ODPP mandate.

  • Supervise and manage staff matters to harness the strengths of individuals and promotes their performances to ensure that the administration function in ODPP adopts and delivers consistent, reliable and high standards of customer service,

  • Take part in the management of the
    funds and resources allocated to the division, to ensure prudent use of the resources and ty garner the trust of stakeholders in the ability of ODPP to deliver quality public prosecution services

  • Follow up on administrative staff training needs and projections in order to enhance capacity development in liaison with the Prosecutor Training Institute.

  • Participate in the recruitment, selection and promotion of lower carder personnel in ODPrP

  • Compile administrative Office service personnel data for postings and deployment with the ODPP for efficient and effective service delivery,

  • In charge of preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Administration Division to inform decision making

  • Prepare an up-to-date record of administrative Office personnel in the ODFF

  • Coach, mentor, guide and counsel Administrative staff to enhance productivity and
    succession management

  • Control the performance of outsourced services such as cleaning, security, catering,
    etc. to ensure that there is value for money

  • Implementation of Administration Division strategy and align it to the overall OOPP Strategic Plan in order to provide timely service delivery to the institution, in the areas of security management, transport, and office management, to support the delivery of efficient and effective service by the institution implement tools and processes that enhance efficiency in the delivery of transport services for the offices, lo enhance efficiency in the operations of the Office through timely and quality provision of transport services

  • Implement strategies for the Administration Division in order to provide timely support to the institution, in the areas of security management, transport, and office management.

  • Participate in the implementation of policies, programs and strategic plans of the
    Organization for efficient and effective service delivery.

  • Represent the Administrative Division in various office assignments.

  • Control office management servicers such as, lease and fleet management; to ensure delivery in a timely manner and with consideration to high quality standards, to support the delivery of the ODFP services in an efficient manner.
