Requirements for appointment

  • Served a cumulative number of thirteen (13) years relevant experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Principal Administrative Officer DPP 7 and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public or Private Sector;

  • A Bachelors Degree in any Social Sciences or its equivalent qualification From a recognized Institution;

  • A Master degree in any Social Sciences form a recognized institution;

  • Post graduate diploma in any Social Science or an equivalent qualification from a from a recognized institution or attained,

  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and

  • Bea member of a recognized professional body.

  • NOTE: Possession of a certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting
    not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • An officer at this level will be responsible to the Senior Assistant Director Administration for assigned administration function, Specifically, duties and responsibilities will entail: -

  • Advises the Senior Assistant Director of Administration Officer on general administrative issues and practices,

  • Supervises the implementation of Administration Division strategy and align it to the overall ODPP Strategic Plan in order to provide timely service delivery to the
    institution, in the areas of security management, transport, and office management, to support the delivery of efficient and effective service by the institution

  • Supervise the performance of outsourced services such as cleaning, security, catering,
    etc, to ensure that there is value for money

  • Supervise the implementation of tools and processes that enhance efficiency in the delivery of transport services for the office, to enhance efficiency in the operations of the Office through timely and quality provision of transport services

  • Organize office management services such as, lease and fleet management; to ensure delivery in a timely manner and with consideration to high quality standards, to support the delivery of the ODPP services in an efficient manner

  • Contribute to the development of administrative programmes that enforce integrity
    and ethical conduct by staff, to enhance the image of ODFP, and to build the trust of stakeholders in the ability of ODFP to meet stakeholder expectations

  • Provide logistical support in all High level ODDP events and functions, to enhance the ODPP image and gain stakeholder confidence,

  • Supervise the implementation of the performance management of the Administrative
    Division to ensure the successful implementation of the ODPP
    performance management framework

  • Supervises the implementation and management of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and National Road Safety measures to ensure safety and health of staff

  • Coordinate the implementation of the ODFP strategic plan at the divisional level, to ensure the deliverables of the plan are met against set timelines and quality standards, and that there is efficiency in resource utilization

  • Supervise and manage staff matters ta harnesses the strengths of individuals and promotes their performances to ensure that the administration function in ODPP adopts and delivers consistent, reliable and high standards of customer service.

  • In charge of compilation of administrative Office service personnel data for postings and deployment with the ODPP for efficient and effective service delivery.

  • Coordinate preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Administration Division to inform decision making

  • Keep an up-to-date record of administrative Office personnel in the ODPP

  • Coach, mentor, guide and counsel Administrative staff to enhance productivity and
    SUCCESSION Management.

  • Implement the security framework that protects the ODPP staff and assets from security threats, to minimize disruptions to the ODPP operations that result from security incidents, and to enhance the trust of staff in the ability of ODPP to manage staff matters

  • Device processes and procedures that ensure strategic and cost-effective management of the administrative services of travel and transport.

  • Participate in the institutional and stakeholder’s meetings as representative of Administrative Division in any committees in support of successful implementation of the ODPP mandate:

  • Participate in the management of the funds and resources allocated to the division, ta
    ensure prudent use of the resources and to garner the trust of stakeholders in the ability of ODPP to deliver quality public prosecution services

  • Participating in the recruitment, selection and promotion of administrative Office personnel in OOFP

  • Foster teamwork and communication among the administrative staff and across the
    organizational boundaries.

  • Participate in activities aimed at mitigating HIV/AIDS. Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and other cross cutting issues

  • Implementation and coordination of strategies for the Administration Division in order to provide timely support to the institution, in the areas of security management, transport, and office management.

  • Participate in the dissemination and implementation of policies, programs and strategic plans of the Organization for efficient and effective service delivery.

  • Representing the Administrative Division in various meetings and stakeholders’ forums.

  • Implementation of policies and procedures in the administration division that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of service in-a timely and cost efficient manner.
