Nyeri Water and Sanitation Company Water Production Assistant II Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Water Treatment Operator Assistant II to support the daily operations of the water treatment facility.
The role involves conducting chemical tests, preparing and mixing treatment chemicals, monitoring operational valves, recording production data, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
The ideal candidate should possess technical knowledge in water technology or engineering, with the ability to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in water treatment processes.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out basic chemical tests on water to optimize chemical usage while ensuring water quality is maintained.

  • Control operational valves within the treatment facility.

  • Ensure timely preparation and mixing of chemicals for continuous water treatment processes.

  • Perform timely backwashing of filters.

  • Read, record, and maintain master production meters and electrical power consumption.

  • Record the quantity of chemicals used and daily chemical test results.

  • Ensure chemicals needed for water treatment are readily available and notify the Technician in‑charge in time for re‑orders.

    Education and Experience
  • Diploma
    in Water Technology/Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience in water treatment or related field.

    Skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills in water treatment processes.

  • Ability to perform chemical testing and record accurate data.

  • Good organizational and documentation abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational timelines.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
