Nursing Council of Kenya Corporate Communications Officer Jobs


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement communication and visibility strategies in line with Council policy.

  • Develop and disseminate communication materials including newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, press releases, reports, and promotional materials.

  • Support management of the Council website and social media platforms.

  • Create, edit, and publish digital content across communication channels.

  • Monitor media coverage and prepare media monitoring reports.

  • Collect, organize, and maintain communication records, photographs, videos, and publications.

  • Assist in preparation of speeches, presentations, briefs, and talking points.

  • Support stakeholder engagement, public awareness, and advocacy programmes.

  • Coordinate media coverage and publicity for Council activities and events.

  • Support development of communication campaigns and public education initiatives.

  • Produce multimedia content including photographs, videos, and digital stories.

  • Assist in organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and stakeholder forums.

  • Respond to routine internal and external communication requests.

  • Support branding and visibility activities to promote the Council’s mandate.

  • Monitor emerging communication issues and provide recommendations.

  • Maintain effective relationships with media houses, government agencies, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Prepare communication reports and performance updates.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Corporate Communication,
    Strategic Communication, or related field.

  • Membership to a relevant professional body such as the Media Council of Kenya, PRSK, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Demonstrated competence in communication, media engagement, and content development.

  • Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance and results.

  • Fulfilled requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
