Nedbank Systems Analyst Jobs in South Africa


Job Purpose

  • Develop high‑level end‑to‑end design and macro design within the context of solution architecture to meet business requirements.

  • Provide consulting services to identify suitable solutions for diverse business needs.

    Job Responsibilities
  • Make and validate recommendations based on cost and usability (feasibility).

  • Deliver work products within agreed timelines and budgets.

  • Produce proof of concepts and obtain stakeholder sign‑off.

  • Communicate new features to stakeholders via forums.

  • Engage business stakeholders and senior programmers across hardware, software, and firmware domains.

  • Contribute to Nedbank’s transformation goals through culture‑building initiatives.

  • Support corporate responsibility initiatives (e.g., Green Strategy).

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and systems.

  • Participate in research to inform system software recommendations.

  • Advise on software requirements and availability for medium to high projects.

    Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
  • Advanced Diplomas / National First Degrees.

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.

    Preferred Qualification
  • BCom Information Technology.

    Essential Certifications
  • Advanced certification in relevant technologies (where available).

    Minimum Experience Level
  • 7–10 years’ Information Technology experience.

  • 3–4
    years’ Systems Analysis and Design experience.

    Technical / Professional Knowledge
  • Principles of project management.

  • Relevant design tools.

  • Regulatory knowledge.

  • Software and systems knowledge.

  • Research methodology.

  • Role‑related technologies.

  • System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Systems analysis and design.

  • Technical system interfaces.

  • Testing principles and processes.
