Job Purpose

  • To lead the Property Finance middle office support function by ensuring the efficient and compliant post implementation deal/ risk management of structured loan transactions to deliver on CIB’s strategy whilst contributing to shareholder value.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment and achievement of strategy and create a competitive advantage by translating the Nedbank and Business Unit strategy into a customised Divisional strategy.

  • Support delivery on financial targets through the successful implementation of transactions that directly supports the Property Finance revenue strategy.

  • Manage internal & external stakeholder awareness & responsibilities in relation to the execution of PF transactions through regular engagements, communication, and reporting feedback.

  • Ensure that all middle office operational systems operate effectively and efficiently to manage the lifecycle of the loan, contribute to future decision making and appropriately manage reporting requirements.

  • Establishing & managing relevant governance structures so that all relevant risks & issues are appropriately managed & mitigated.

  • Contribute to the formulation of three-year plans for the division to support the execution of the investment banking three-year plan.

  • Manage the talent requirements of the broader team to ensure adequate staffing levels, experience and skills exist to deliver exceptional stakeholder experience.

  • Guide and manage teams responsible for the implementation of transactions by ensuring compliance with internal procedures and agreed processes for effective execution and management of transactions from implementation to termination.

  • Ensure that teams implement departmental and bank-wide projects impacting the division by providing implementation guidance and adherence to project deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain a people strategy that will create a high-performance culture and drive CIB and Nedbank's vision and values.

  • Contribute to
    the achievement of DEI objectives by monitoring implemented DEI plan, analysing, and correcting any deviations.

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

  • CA (SA) or CFA or MBA

  • 10+ years Leadership experience in the execution of term lending transactions and/or relevant frontline deal and transaction experience within a corporate and investment banking environment (Property/Real estate transactional experience preferred).
