Job Purpose
Support and enhance the organisation’s business intelligence and reporting capability, with a primary focus on SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Objects (BOBJ).
Combine technical expertise, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement to deliver efficient reporting solutions, optimise system performance, and provide data‑driven insights for strategic decision‑making.
Job Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & System Management
Maintain, support, and optimise SAP BW and BOBJ reporting environments.
Monitor system performance and resolve inefficiencies.
Collaborate with SAP technical teams on enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Support testing, validation, and deployment of new functionality.
Reporting & Data Analytics
Design, develop, and maintain standardised and ad hoc financial/operational reports.
Translate business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
Perform financial and data analysis to provide actionable insights.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting outputs.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships across organisational levels.
Communicate insights and solutions via presentations and reports.
Provide guidance to users to improve report design and utilisation.
Promote adoption of SAP BW and BOBJ.
Process Improvement & Data Management
Identify and implement improvements to reporting and data processes.
Maintain and govern master data within SAP (CO and Loans modules).
Recommend solutions that enhance decision‑making and efficiency.
Continuously optimise business processes.
Project Delivery
Support delivery of BI and finance‑related projects.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on system enhancements.
Contribute to requirements gathering, solution design, and
implementation.
Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
Advanced Diplomas / National First Degrees.
Professional Qualifications / Honour’s Degree.
Preferred Qualification
Diploma or degree in Financial Management.
SAP Business Intelligence certification (BW and/or BOBJ).
Preferred Certifications
IIBA endorsed.
Minimum Experience Level
3–6 years’ experience in financial services or finance‑related environment.
Proven experience with SAP BW.
Strong experience in SAP BOBJ (including Web Intelligence).
Experience with SAP Analysis for Microsoft Excel.
