Job Responsibilities
Portfolio Growth & Financial Performance
Drive sustainable growth of the Property Finance book through targeted deal origination and strategic portfolio management.
Achieve and exceed revenue, balance sheet, and return targets.
Optimise portfolio quality through disciplined risk‑return decision making.
Deal Origination & Structuring
Originate and execute complex property finance transactions across commercial and industrial sectors.
Structure innovative financing solutions leveraging property market expertise and funding instruments.
Maintain a strong deal pipeline through active market engagement.
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
Build trusted relationships with key clients, developers, investors, and intermediaries.
Serve as a strategic partner by providing value‑adding financing solutions.
Retain and grow existing client relationships while expanding into new segments.
Collaboration & Cross‑Sell
Leverage Nedbank’s broader Corporate and Investment Banking platform to unlock cross‑sell opportunities.
Collaborate across product houses and client coverage teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Risk & Governance
Exercise sound credit judgement within risk appetite frameworks.
Proactively manage portfolio risks in a dynamic property market.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and internal risk standards.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing
team of analysts and transactors.
Drive a culture of accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.
Build capability through coaching, mentorship, and structured talent development.
Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
Professional Qualifications / Honour’s Degree.
Preferred Qualification
CA(SA), CFA, MBA, or relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Minimum Experience Level
10–12 years’ experience in financial services and/or property finance.
Proven track record in originating and closing complex property finance transactions.
Experience managing large lending portfolios with strong financial performance.
Leadership experience in managing and developing high‑performing teams.
