Job Purpose

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of best‑practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations.

  • Facilitate world‑class risk management through quantitative analysis and modelling.

    Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in Nedbank culture‑building and corporate responsibility initiatives.

  • Research and recommend corporate citizenship initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, models, and systems.

  • Develop differentiated, superior solutions that meet stakeholder and business requirements.

  • Ensure product/solution design aligns with business specifications.

  • Engage with business stakeholders through forums and committees.

  • Address queries by extracting and analysing data.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and complete data requests.

  • Document and record processes and models for continuity.

  • Provide insights enabling growth through analytical research and recommendations.

  • Ensure compliance with policy through data analysis and monitoring.

  • Create efficiencies and streamline processes.

  • Bridge operational and analytical concepts through effective communication.

  • Support business strategy by aligning systems, processes, and solutions.

  • Improve personal capability through training and career progression.

  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders.

  • Obtain buy‑in for new or enhanced processes by highlighting benefits.

    Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
  • Advanced Diplomas / National First Degrees.

    Preferred Qualification
  • Degree
    in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field (Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Business Science).

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CQF.

    Minimum Experience Level
  • Graduate level.

    Technical / Professional Knowledge
  • Business acumen.

  • Industry trends.

  • Microsoft Office.

  • Project management principles.

  • Regulatory knowledge.

  • Software and systems knowledge.

  • Risk management processes and frameworks.

  • Business writing skills.
