National Council for Population and Development Senior Records Management Officer Jobs in Kenya


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guides Formulation, implementation and review of Records Management Policies, standards, strategies, guidelines and procedure and programme.

  • Provide technical advice on filing classification schemes, records retention and disposal schedules.

  • Guides the Council on security of records and appropriate storage.

  • Coordinates automation and digitization of the Council`s records.

  • Advises users of records on available information for planning and decision making purposes.

  • Initiates surveys, appraisal and disposal of records in line with the Council’s records management policy and Public Archives and Documentation Act.

  • Implements and maintains ISO management systems and other standards in the unit.

  • Develops and implements the unit work plan and budget.

  • Mentors and coaches staff in the unit.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Records Management, Information Management Science, or equivalent qualifications.

  • Served in the grade of Records Management Officer I or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of (3) years and Senior Management Course or its equivalent lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its equivalent will be an added advantage.

  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority, Clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB),

  • Kenya Credit Reference Bureau and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
