Nairobi Hospital Locum- Specialist Radiologist Jobs; Review, interpret, and report on radiological images to provide accurate diagnosis in line with established protocols and hospital standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ medical histories to identify potential risks from imaging procedures and recommend alternatives where appropriate.
Explain imaging processes to patients and address relevant requirements.
Perform and interpret x‑ray, ultrasound, mammogram, CT, and MRI examinations, providing technical guidance for diagnosis and treatment.
Guide radiology staff in image‑guided diagnostic procedures per established protocols.
Interpret diagnostic imaging results to determine accurate diagnoses.
Discuss findings and diagnoses with referring physicians.
Compile diagnostic reports on test results.
Respond to emergency situations (e.g., resuscitations, bleeding, infections) in line with medical protocols.
Participate in radiology‑related research and departmental protocol development/review.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in Radiology from a recognised institution.
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from a recognised institution.
Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council and valid practising licence.
Minimum of 3 years’ practising experience in Radiology.

Ability to review and interpret radiographic images.
Imaging skills including x‑ray, mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MRI, and CT scan.
Ability to develop and ensure implementation of radiology protocols.
Knowledge of radiation safety standards.
