Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Morgue/Mortuary Science or equivalent.

  • Membership in Morticians and Allied Professionals Association of Kenya or relevant body.

  • Certificate in computer applications.

  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution.

    Job Description

  • Collect and receive bodies from wards and law enforcement agencies.

  • Register and file death notifications.

  • Admit bodies to the mortuary and prepare for burial (including embalming).

  • Maintain mortuary records and databases.

  • Clean, dress, and reconstruct bodies.

  • Assist relatives in identification and viewing.

  • Ensure security of human remains and preserve evidence for post‑mortem.

  • Facilitate release of remains to next of kin.
