Mr Price Group Responsible Sourcing Specialist Jobs in South Africa; The Responsible Sourcing Specialist will collaborate with stakeholders to implement, monitor, and evaluate responsible sourcing practices. The role ensures compliance across factories and suppliers, manages onboarding processes, and drives sustainable improvements in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

Compliance

  • Analyse, approve, and elevate audit findings and CAPS trackers.

  • Manage onboarding documents and processes with the sourcing team.

  • Upload social audits and corrective action plans (CAPS) to shared systems.

  • Review and escalate BBBEE requests/updates to finance.

  • Conduct factory spot‑checks and visits (50% travel) to ensure compliance with labour standards, health and safety, environment, and business ethics.

  • Develop corrective action plans with suppliers and monitor closure of issues.

  • Conduct supplier meetings (face‑to‑face/online).

  • Ensure DTR‑FAMA compliance and manage updates/requirements.

  • Assess legal requirements and product specifications for LOAs.

  • Maintain constant communication with suppliers and provide feedback to merchandise, sourcing, and ethical trade teams.

  • Stay updated on international compliance standards and testing processes.

  • Roll out ethical buying training across divisions.

    Supplier Onboarding & Relationship Building

  • Manage suppliers and factories to derive risk profiles.

  • Build transparent supplier
    relationships to drive sustainable improvements.

    Training

  • Monitor supply chain compliance and provide regular updates to vendors.

  • Conduct training workshops to address non‑compliance issues.

  • Provide practical guidance for suppliers on sustainable improvements.

    Qualifications

  • National Diploma in Clothing Management (Mandatory).

  • Occupational Health & Safety training and compliance training (International and SA).

  • 3–5 years’ experience in responsible sourcing or compliance.

  • Knowledge of clothing production management advantageous.

  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder engagement, and supply chain compliance expertise.
