Summary Role:

  • The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring proper management of company’s inventory.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and participate in monthly and annual stock counts;

  • Perform monthly stock reconciliations of physical counts against system for all categories of inventory and highlight variances to management;

  • Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures;

  • Coordinate with warehouse and stores team to implement and ensure a control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence;

  • Support accurate and timely financial reporting through ensuring all stock data is
    updated correctly;

  • Manage the monthly financial close process for all categories of stock;

  • Ensure efficient working capital management through working hand in hand with supply-chain teams.

  • Review stock holding for all categories of stock on a weekly basis comparing actual holding with optimum stock and share any exceptions with management for action

  • Raise red flags on identification of loss making activities or processes associated with
    inventory management.

  • Conduct awareness on the impacts of activities done by supply chain to the overall
    company performance.

  • Carry out spot checks on stock balances in the warehouse and stores as against the system records to capture any anomalies; and

  • Any other role as will be assigned by your supervisor.

    Working Relationship and work Environment:

  • Working with the entire staff and departments in Movit.

  • Maintain good relations with key associates and company external stakeholders.

  • Office based and ability to manage urgent demands.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit highest degree of flexibility
    in terms of working time.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s’ degree in Accounting, Business Administration or any other relevant field.

  • CPA, ACCA or any other relevant professional qualification an added advantage.

  • Analytical and logical abilities, with a high attention to details.

  • Minimum relevant experience of 4 years and not more than 8 years.

  • Excellent computer skills with advanced excel skills.

  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP is preferred.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and general controls with degree of compliance.

  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Interpersonal skill-Ability to relate well with other fellow workmates.

  • Leadership skills-Ability to move along with all team members in terms activities execution.

  • Communication skills: Ability to pass on proper and efficient work information.

  • Ability to work under pressure:

  • Flexibility: Being free and able to handle different tasks as per current need requirement.
