About the Job: ArcSkills Kenya seeks to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will be responsible for coordinating the successful implementation of monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities in Kenya.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and support implementation of monitoring and evaluation processes and systems.
Support the effective implementation of the MEL framework.
Ensure the project M&E tools are effectively used by all staff.
Oversee data collection, analysis and dissemination of routine monitoring.
Ensure timely and high-quality data reporting, carry out required data validation and generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Participate in periodic reflection and sharing of progress, good practices and lessons learned between staff and partners.
Build understanding, capability and capacity of staff in monitoring and reporting by providing coaching and on-going support; and assessing their training needs.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required by the Line Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in international development, economics, social science or any other related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs with good understanding of results-based monitoring.
Excellent coordination skills and the
ability to handle multiple workstreams at once.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Experience using digital and technology-based tools for data collection E.g Kobo Collect.
Ability to work on own initiative and lead others when necessary.
Excellent communication, report writing and facilitation skills
Key competencies and skills
Ability to work on own initiative, manage own workload and to balance competing priorities to work on tight deadlines.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
Flexible team player.
Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good IT skills in standard MS packages.
