MedGad Solutions Part-time Pharmacist (Retail) Jobs in Zambia

Job Details

We are looking for a Pharmacist to work with our Pharmacy Technologists/technicians (Pharm Techs) in our retail pharmacies within Lusaka.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting our retail pharmacy personnel at our outlets on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting Pharm Techs; verifying preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals.

• Verifying order entries, tracking inventory, selling medicines and other stock.

• Reviewing and interpreting prescriptions and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.

• Training of pharmacy personnel and ensuring that they are adhering to guidelines and SOPs.

• Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements by maintaining records for controlled substances; removing expired and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory and ensuring that staff have valid HPCZ practicing licences at all times.

• Maintaining current ZAMRA registration; studying existing and new legislation and advising management on actions needed.

• Participating in continuous quality improvement activities and any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

• HPCZ registration with a valid annual practicing license.

• At least 2 years post internship experience,

• Experience in a retail pharmacy is an added advantage.

• Microsoft Office user, particularly for Excel
