Job Role/purpose: Manage the Implementation of the responsible gaming programme of the Board
Principal Acountabilities
Specific Activities
Implement the responsible gaming programme.
Develop responsible gaming content and
protocols in line with the responsible
gaming programme.
Disseminate the content and protocols in
line with the responsible gaming programme.
Build strategic partnerships in the
implementation of responsible gaming
programme.
Prepare responsible gaming reports for
dissemination to key stakeholders.
Assess the implementation of responsible gaming
programmes by the licensees.
Spearhead the review of operators’
responsible gaming.
Report responsible gaming issues that
require follow up, investigations and or
enforcement action.
Recommend necessary corrective
measures for any gaps identified.
Roll out strategies to improve responsible
gaming culture and stakeholder compliance.
Create awareness on responsible gaming
Plan and conduct awareness
programmes on responsible gaming.
Train stakeholders on the different facets of responsible gaming.
Coordinate treatment of problem gamblers.
Manage;
The toll free counselling line.
Strategic partners for
treatment/assistance of problem gamblers.
Treatment network for problem gamblers.
Protection of stakeholders through assessment of risks related to responsible gaming.
Coordinate with relevant authorities to
curb fraud and criminal behaviour in
gaming.
Perform an assessment of responsible
gaming risks.
Report responsible gaming matters that
require review of the regulatory
framework /standards.
Research
Identify research areas and coordinate
research on Responsible Gaming.
Collect key statistics and information
relating to gambling for formulation of
good responsible gaming policy.
Analyse responsible gaming data
generated from the CMS and advise
accordingly.
CSR
Identify and recommend possible areas for CSR in the sector.
Coordinate implementation of CSR
activities by stakeholders.
Prepare CSR reports for dissemination to
stakeholders.
Staff
performance
Manage the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with
the performance management guidelines
Other Duties
Perform any other duty as may be required by the supervisor.
Person Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Commerce, Policy and Planning, Demography or any other related
disciplines from a recognised university.
Masters’ degree in Business Administration or any other related field.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential Experience
At least 6 year’s relevant experience in a
reputable organisation.
Added Advantage
Experience in regulating activities that may be harmful to the public.
Competencies and Attributes
Integrity, confidentiality and high ethical conduct.
Conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.
Report writing skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in use of computing applications for data analysis and reporting.
Innovativeness.
