  • Our Client in the Logistics and Trading industry is seeking to hire a Business Development Manager/Strategist, who will be tasked with keeping the company on track, determining the targets for the organization, and preparing sales strategies.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Create business development strategies to increase the company revenue and brand value.

  • Research the market trends to identify the customer demand for the proposed products and services.

  • Support the management in contract development, customer negotiations, and product enhancements.

  • Keeping updated with technologies and consumers behavior

  • Craft out differentiation strategies.

  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.

  • Attending conferences and industry events.

  • Determine key business development KPL’s

  • Building trust and long-term relationships with clients/customers, industry professionals, competitors, vendors, and other personnel.

  • Contribute t the reputation of the organization by entering and achieving professional awards

  • Developing ways to improve the customer experience and build a brand .

  • Initiate and develop other company selling platforms using technologies

  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth

  • Researching prospective Accounts in target markets

  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.

  • Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients

  • Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals

  • Develop and grow the clearing and forwarding arm of the company to profitability

  • Promote the company’s brand and image.

  • Supervise
    any branding, brochures, and promotional activities of the company

  • Training Personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

    Key Performance Indicators

  • Actualization of a profitable clearing and forwarding arm of the business.

  • Actualization of a profitable technology–based revenue stream.

  • Incremental revenues from existing clients.

  • Incremental revenues through upselling from existing clients.

  • Client retention and New clients.

  • Enhanced customer experience.

    Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration or a similar field is a bonus.

  • Over 4 years’ prior in the same industry-related business development experience.

  • Proficiency in CRM software is an added advantage.

  • Ability to network and build rapport.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Good planning, research, and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
