    Your Role:

  • As Field Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintenance of network hardware that includes KOKO Points, Smart Tanker and Smart Depot units across Mombasa neighborhoods ensuring they run to their maximum efficiency, uptime and output through development and implementation of effective strategies, processes, team and relationship management. This role is critical in delivering KOKO’s promise of network quality and uptime to customers.

    What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, systems and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

  • Identify and deploy appropriate resource levels, technical skill sets, process development and refinement to deliver on set objectives.

  • Interface with NOC in establishing network performance metrics and SLAs, translate to department objectives/KPIs and continuously review and assess performance identifying any actions required to ensure achievement of objectives.

  • Provide complete support to field and inhouse operations offering leadership, guidance, knowledge, tools, training and opportunities to staff to perform their job functions. Performs quality observations on every employee to ensure quantity and quality objectives are met.

  • Strong collaboration with immediate departments to optimize and maximize resources.
    The collaboration should establish planning inputs and outputs, performance metrics and SLAs and translated to department objectives/KPIs and continuously review and assess performance identifying any actions required to ensure achievement of objectives.

  • Contribute to the improvement and implementation of best practice operational vision, strategy, policies, processes, systems and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

  • Monitor departmental inventory and interface with procurement to place orders when necessary combined with a strategy to manage usage /expenditure.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction through professional conduct and engagements. Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained.

  • Take part in team development. Conduct appraisals and communicate positive and negative feedback effectively. Coach, mentor, train and develop team to operational success meeting current and future business requirements.

  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

  • Bsc degree in Engineering or a technical field. Other backgrounds can be considered upon fulfillment of other requirements.

  • 2 years experience with a proven success record in technical field operations or in a project management capacity

  • Good leadership skills and ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members .

  • Outstanding organizational, time management, people management and follow-up skills.

  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and data driven decision making .

  • Familiarity with mobile phone applications and tools and ERP systems.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
