Kirinyaga University Legal Assistant III Jobs in Kenya



Key Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents and handle cases involving the University in liaison with external lawyers.

  • Advise on all legal matters affecting the University.

  • Prepare agreements and contracts for approval by relevant parties.

  • Gather evidence and facts, and exchange the same with University lawyers.

  • Attend court and brief University authorities on case developments.

  • Write reports and memoranda on legal matters.

  • Ensure adherence to procedures and regulations in employee matters, disciplinary measures, and other issues with legal implications.

  • Guide and assist in the review and interpretation of University Statutes.

  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ legal practice experience.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law.

  • Valid practising license.

  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

  • Computer literacy.
