KICC Sales Officer - Exhibitions Jobs in Kenya

  • The Sales Officer, Exhibitions reports to Principal Sales Officer, Exhibitions and is responsible for generating sales through a variety of techniques.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generating leads and turning them into opportunities for sales.

  • Contacting potential customers via telephone, email and face to face.

  • Working on Key Performance Indicators and revenue targets as set by the Sales Manager.

  • Arranging meetings with prospects in order to demonstrate products.

  • Negotiating prices with potential customers and closing sales.

  • Identifying opportunities for new business within the market.

  • Paying attention to competitors and their activities within the industry.

  • Building long term relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Ensuring all administration relating to sales is completed effectively.

  • Working closely with other departments and finding out opportunities to crosssell.

    Person Specifications

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: - Commerce or Business Administration (Marketing option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Have a minimum period of four (4) years relevant work experience.

  • Be a registered member of a relevant professional body.

  • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks.

  • Be proficient in computer applications.

  • Have an ability to drive sales and generate new business.

  • Be ambitious and driven personality with hunger for success.

  • Be a confident and experienced negotiator able to drive revenue.

  • Fulfil the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.
