  • Our client is seeking to recruit a Key Account Executive who will coordinate the activities of merchandisers and to ensure the availability of sufficient and quality products in all the assigned outlets in order to achieve set growth target while guaranteeing great customer and staff experience.

    Responsibilities and accountabilities

    Commerce Responsibilities:

  • Enforce the trade strategy standards in their assigned sales areas by working closely with the outlet representatives in order to drive sales

  • Visiting outlets in the assigned region according to set frequency and meeting the stipulated coverage and strike rate to achieve set sales target

  • Observing the proper use of sales tools, systems and processes to capture, record and track sales in order to facilitate proper data storage and insights gathering.

  • Ensure all information concerning short expiries, slow moving products and competitor activities are reported to enhance quick decision making.

  • Coach merchandisers thrice per week to the merchandisers in order empower them and be more productive.

  • Ensure that merchandisers place sufficient orders in order to meet market demand.

  • Receive and review merchandisers weekly worksheets in order to establish their performance for informed decisions.

  • Ensure merchandisers are strictly adhering to their weekly and monthly route plans without failure for better market coverage and great customer experience.

  • Ensure block displays in all assigned outlets are achieved towards enhancing the product visibility while guaranteeing great customer experience.

  • Represent Melvin’s brand name well in the trade and maintain the company relationships with its customers in all assigned outlets for grate customer experience.

  • Ensure all listed products in the assigned outlets are available through out in order to meet market demand and great customer experience.

  • Ensure the merchandisers that attendance worksheets are updated as scheduled i.e. every mid-month for pay roll processing to enhance great staff experience.

    Key performance indicators

  • Monthly outlet universe coverage

  • Status of Sales Drivers in the assigned outlets

  • Monthly rate of callage against set standards

  • Staff retention

  • Sales volumes & value per outlet

  • Cheque collection.

  • Ensure availability of listed products

  • Capture competitor activities on Sales App

  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Customer interactions.

    Minimum requirements

  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing or any related business discipline

  • Four (4) years relevant work experience in an FMCG.

  • Experience working in modern trade ie supermarkets and Retail chains

  • Proven experience of managing and supervising merchandisers

  • Proven ability to sell

  • FMCG experience is a must.

  • Negotiation – Achieve signoffs for business contracts in any joint business partnership meeting.
