Position Overview

  • Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) provides specialist software, services and support to deliver fully integrated trading and business management solutions to companies in the distributive trade – wherever they are in the world. With a unique depth of knowledge and experience in the distributive trades, KCS has a wide range of clients includes wholesalers, distributors, merchants and retailers from small traders to multinational enterprises. KCS has offices in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, South Africa and North America.

  • Our mission is simple: to design and deliver high performance, integrated ERP solutions that enable our distributive trade customers to source effectively, stock efficiently, sell profitably and service competitively.

  • Due to continual growth in our level of activity, KCS are looking to recruit New Business Sales Executives into the dynamic Sales Department.

  • As New Business Sales Executive, you will be responsible for promoting KCS software solutions to our target market place, with the aim to deliver new business sales against an agreed target on an annual basis.

  • Your role will be to primarily sell our ERP and Retail solutions

  • This is a great opportunity, due to growth in the organization and the addition of products.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead generation.

  • Leading and managing sales processes will be a key part of the role.

  • Consultative sales is the approach for success.

  • You will be required to take a hands-on approach with the products.

  • Qualification of opportunities will be essential.

  • In time, accurate sales forecasting will be required.

  • Managing
    and maintaining the CRM system will be essential.

  • Attending and presenting at monthly sales meetings is required.

    Knowledge and Experience


  • At least 5 years’ experience selling Retail / POS or ERP Solutions.

  • Must be comfortable working on a commissions basis probably OTE 50/50.

  • Must have historical proof to achieving at least 80% of yearly targets for the last 3 years.

  • Sales of related systems, BI, hardware or e-commerce will be an advantage.

  • You must be a self-starter to be successful in this role.

  • The ability to deliver presentations in a professional and structured manner up to board level.

  • Comfortable with working in a team environment.

  • Impeccable references - Must have customer and work references as to acumen, attitude and performance.

    Highly Desirable

  • Diploma Bcom or similar 3-year qualification
    Commercially astute.

    Special conditions

  • A valid drivers’ license is essential.

  • Must be able to travel locally and into Sub-Saharan Africa (when travel is permitted).
