Kenya Railway Human Resource Manager Jobs
Duties & Responsibilities
Formulate and implement HR policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Develop HR management plans to ensure effective succession management.
Monitor performance management systems and analyze staffing levels.
Develop business strategy in relation to talent resourcing and development.
Oversee talent management policies to attract, nurture, and retain talent.
Guide succession and leadership development programs.
Oversee employment practices, compensation, benefits, and HR programs.
Lead HR planning, recruitment, and selection processes.
Provide leadership in industrial relations, staff welfare, and grievance management.
Resolve employee grievances and disciplinary cases.
Implement HRMIS for monitoring staff activities, training, and welfare.
Oversee staff medical schemes, pensions, gratuity, and welfare programs.
Advise management on organizational structures and change management.
Execute risk management policies and ensure accountability and business continuity.
Promote continuous improvement of HR processes and corporate consultations.
Foster corporate culture promoting ethics and good governance.
Implement corporate governance principles and corruption prevention strategies.
Oversee robust performance management systems and HR database maintenance.
Prepare Board papers relating to HR matters.
Provide secretarial services to HR Advisory Committee.
Spearhead staff induction and orientation programs.
Promote cordial employee relations and work ethics.
Coordinate internship and attachment programs.
Submit statutory and periodic reports to government agencies.
Implement Board decisions and government circulars relating to HR.
Oversee payroll management.
Appraise direct reports.
Requirements of the Position
Education
Master’s degree in HR Management/Development/Planning, Public Administration, Business
Administration, Political Science/Government, or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management/Development/Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP‑K) by HRMPEB.
Leadership course (minimum four weeks) is an added advantage.
Membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Valid HR Practicing Certificate from IHRM.
Computer proficiency.
