KCB Bank Kenya Senior Legal Counsel, Regulatory Affairs) Jobs



Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the Group in public policy matters, stakeholder engagement, and provide input on legislation during drafting.

  • Manage regulatory issues including review, analysis, and preparation of position statements.

  • Ensure compliance with regional and international regulators (CBK, CMA, CA, IRA, RBA, CAK, KAMP, PRISK).

  • Conduct legislation and regulation analysis, preparing advisory and position statements.

  • Consolidate analysis of legislation and advisory statements into actionable matrices.

  • Manage prudential guideline requirements for product and outsourcing approvals.

  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints through regulators (CBK and CAK).

  • Drive a group‑wide approach to regulatory affairs.

  • Perform any other duties as may be required.

    Minimum Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.

  • Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ post‑admission work experience.

  • Specific expertise in corporate & commercial legal services, legal drafting, legal communication, and advocacy.

  • Strong background in risk management.
