Person Profile Description

  • Applicants should be holders of Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized Institution

  • Must possess Certificate in Computer Applications

  • Must have at least Five (5) years working experience as Medical Laboratory Technologist in an Institution of higher learning.

  • Be in a possession a valid practicing license and registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists’ Board


  • Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, and spinal fluid

  • Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers.

  • Set up, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.

  • Provide technical information about test results to students and researchers.

  • Supervise and conduct practical sessions to student.

  • Develop, standardize, evaluate, and modify procedures, techniques and tests used in the analysis of specimens.

  • Cultivate, isolate, and assist students in identifying microbial organisms, and perform various tests on these microorganisms.
