Position Overview

As Head of Warehousing & Logistics, you will lead the service arm of the e-commerce business across our highest-growing markets.

You will functionally manage teams in Ghana, Cameroon, Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania and report to the Chief Operating
Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and recruit warehousing & logistics teams in each country and foster cohesion, collaboration, and mutual learning among them
  • Enforce the global strategy of the e-commerce business by
  • Ensuring consistency of best-practice fulfillment processes and routines
  • Managing roadmap roll-outs and tech improvements in close collaboration with country teams and ensuring appropriate training
  • Lead Execution and reporting across multiple flows
  • Forward logistics: first mile (vendor drop-off, vendor pick-up, inbounding), middle mile (network moves) and last mile (customer
    pick-up or door delivery by own fleet or 3PL
    Reverse logistics: customer returns, failed deliveries, return-to-vendor, return-to-inventory, quarantine Warehousing: inbounding, inventory management, order processing
  • Ensure management of KPIs on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including fulfillment speed, success rate of deliveries, and
    losses

    Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering,
  • Supply Chain or other quantitative field; advanced Degree preferred but not required
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and projects, particularly those of operational nature
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, rationally challenge the status quo, and proactively suggest improvements
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and impeccable communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Experience in multinational environment
  • Fluency in English; French would be a substantial advantage
