Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Served for a cumulative period of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Administration Officer, or in a comparable position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution (added advantage).

  • Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution.

  • Membership to a professional body where applicable.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Shown merit, integrity, and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
