IRC Health Coordinator Jobs in Uganda

The IRC is currently working in over 25 countries around the world, addressing both the immediate and lifesaving needs of conflict affected people in emergencies and the reconstruction needs of post-conflict societies.
The IRC has been working in Uganda since 1998 supporting refugees and vulnerable host communities. IRC Uganda has it country office in Kampala and regional offices in Amudat, Imvepi, Isingiro, Kitgum, Kyegegwa, Lamwo, Moroto and Yumbe.
This is a senior management position responsible for overseeing all aspects of IRC's health and nutrition programs in Uganda. As the focal point for the health and nutrition program, the Health Coordinator will ensure the implementation of quality health and nutrition programming and provide overall leadership of the program. The Health Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with all partners, including the Ministry of Health, UN agencies and other NGOs, and will also be responsible for fulfilling IRC strategic objectives and the country program strategy action plan (SAP) for the health sector. The Health Coordinator supervises the Health Project Coordinator, ECHO Health Consortium Coordinator and field based Health Managers, Nutrition Manager and Health Team Leaders, and reports to the Deputy Director of Programs.
The Supply Chain Manager is an integral member of the management team and reports directly to the Field Coordinator and Management In Partnership (MIP) with the Supply Chain Coordinator. This position is responsible for the management and delivery of effective Supply Chain support in West Nile program in compliance with IRC and donor regulations. Key responsibilities include procurement, transport, inventory, asset management.Maintain and update donor guidelines related to Supply Chain field (procurement, asset, etc).
Monitor West Nile Supply Chain sections of budgets and track expenditure. Follow up as necessary including timely information and budgetary comments regarding any realignment.
Finalize Procurement Plans for all grants in West Nile.
Ensure all donor reports for assets are completed and submitted to the Supply Chain Coordinator.
Disposal of assets is reviewed annually and donor requirements followed as necessary.
Familiarize with various donor regulations.
University degree in Supply chain Management, Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.
At least 3 years progressive management and leadership experience
Experience working with donors including USAID, BPRM, UNHCR, DFID, ECHO, and EU, and knowledge of specific donor guidelines.
Field experience of managing a large multi-site Supply Chain operation.
Solid knowledge and understanding of practical Supply Chain Procedures and maintaining supply pipelines in areas with weak infrastructure.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong computer competency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other IT skills.
Possess leadership qualities and willing to exercise initiative.
Willingness to participate and contribute as a team member, under challenging working and living conditions.
