Job Summary

  • Community Well-being Initiative (CWI) Officer will be responsible for implementation of a program which encompasses protection through immediate assistance, daily follow-up project implementation, coordination and communication with stakeholders, and compile project documentation and reporting.

  • The position holder will be based at Mojo Town and directly reports to the Project Manager and indirectly to Adama field coordinator and technical supervisors.

    Job Requirements

  • BSc/MSc Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Women’s Studies, or other Social science related field.

  • Minimum work experience of 3 years for BSc
  • Degree holders & 2 years for MSc Degree holders.

  • Demonstrated experience in counseling or social service provision with women and adolescent girls.

  • Demonstrated confidence in discussing intimate gender and sexuality issues.

  • Able to maintain GBV and protection principles always – including knowledge and practical application of the GBV Guiding Principles and PSEA.

  • Ability to communicate in English, Amharic, and Afaan Oromo languages skills is required.

  • Familiarity working in Oromia regions is an advantage.

  • Ability to use MS office, word, excel, and outlook email applications very well.
