International NGO Safety Organisation HQ Information Officer Jobs in Kenya; INSO seeks a detail‑driven Information Officer to join the HQ Data, Technology and Learning (DTL) team. This role ensures the quality and reliability of data across 24 countries, supporting the Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre (CHDC) and INSO Portal. The officer will build reports, dashboards, and geodatabases, enforce INSO Visualisation Standards, and improve usability of reports for over 1,500 partners.

Main Responsibilities

Manage the CHDC

  • Review incidents reported by Country Offices and ensure data quality.

  • Provide extra support to new Country Offices.

  • Build scalable tools for data quality monitoring.

  • Deliver CHDC training, inductions, and coding sessions.

    Support INSO Portal, App & Platforms

  • Act as focal point for Portal queries.

  • Support training and start‑up Country Offices.

  • Monitor data quality and escalate issues.

    Uphold Visualisation Standards

  • Maintain guidelines, documents, and templates.

  • Help Country Offices adopt standards.

  • Automate ETL, dashboard, and mapping workflows.

  • Build and maintain ArcGIS templates and geodatabases.

    Coordinate & Support Globally

  • Work closely with HQ Information Manager on standards and updates.

  • Maintain IM SharePoint site and respond to Helpdesk tickets.

  • Collect statistics on IM activities and maintain records.

  • Contribute to onboarding and wider DTL
    projects.

    Requirements

    Essential

  • 3+ years’ experience in data management, visualisation, or IM.

  • Experience with Power BI/DAX or similar BI tools.

  • Proficiency in SQL database management.

  • Good GIS skills (QGIS/ArcGIS).

  • Full professional fluency in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of conflict contexts.

    Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, GIS, or related field.

  • Knowledge of Python or R.

  • Experience with humanitarian NGOs in complex contexts.

  • Experience delivering training on IM tools.
