International Civil Aviation Organization Internship - Environment and Energy Vacancy
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparation of technical briefs, working papers, reports, and presentations related to ATM, AIM, and SAR.
Support compilation, maintenance, and analysis of operational performance and implementation data for ATM and AIM systems.
Assist in monitoring and following up on actions from regional planning, coordination, and implementation meetings.
Support coordination, monitoring, and tracking of regional SAR activities to enhance preparedness and implementation.
Assist in reviewing SAR contingency plans, exercise reports, and related documentation.
Contribute to identification and analysis of implementation gaps in SAR systems and support reporting mechanisms.
Support tracking of action items and implementation progress from regional planning and technical groups.
Assist in drafting meeting summaries, technical records, and outcome reports.
Support maintenance of electronic records, databases, and information systems related to ATM, AIM, and SAR.
Assist in collection, compilation, and analysis of operational and safety‑related data.
Support preparation of periodic progress reports, implementation updates, and performance monitoring documentation.
Support coordination and engagement with civil aviation authorities, ANSPs, and regional stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education
Completed or enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation, Air Transport Management, Aviation Safety Management, Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Telecommunications/Navigation Systems), GIS, or Transport and Logistics Management.
Work Experience
No prior work experience required. Academic training, coursework, or relevant skills should benefit ICAO ESAF Region.
Language Skills
Essential: Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Desirable: Working knowledge of French.
Conditions of Internship
Interns will receive a stipend.
Travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by the intern.
Duration: Six months, full‑time (five days per week).
Interns cannot engage in other employment within ICAO during internship.
Interns must carry out duties with loyalty, discretion, and in accordance with official instructions.
