Ignitia Communications Fellow Jobs in Nigeria
As the Communications Fellow, you will use your talents to engage audiences through written word and imagery in order to broaden awareness about the value of accurate weather forecasts for agriculture.
In this role, you will primarily support the organisation in creating and executing communications campaigns including content management, social media, PR, and marketing initiatives.
As part of the communications team, you will be a face of Ignitia, working to improve local and international media relations along with outreach to our many stakeholders.
You will also be part of a dynamic team in an exciting environment, which due to our rapid growth, will make you an integral part of our team’s success.Implement a communications strategy, including actively participating in monthly and quarterly strategy meetings
Manage social media platforms, creating and curating content for distribution including long forms, interviews, and multimedia content
Help staff prepare for presentations and meetings to ensure accuracy and consistency
Identify, evaluate, and track media opportunities
Work with our local monitoring and evaluation team to engage all staff members in qualitative story collection
Go into the field with team members as needed in order to connect to our customers, collect stories, and represent the company
Identify and implement other tasks within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role
Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred degree in communications, marketing, international development or related field)
2-3 years experience in communications
Excellent writing and communication skills
Project management skills; ability to coordinate and prioritise activities across various projects
West African preferred
Well-organised with outstanding attention to detail
Self-directed, intrinsically motivated; proven capacity to manage work independently, multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive deadlines
Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work diplomatically with diverse constituencies
Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment, with the capacity to remain flexible and adapt to change
Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode
Paid fellowship stipend

Start as soon as possible - 6 month fellowship with the possibility for a longer, full-time position.
